Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or equivalent related work experience.

years Estimating experience Valid Driver's license and the ability to drive Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
), AGTEK Take-off and Primavera Scheduling software Proficient computer knowledge Estimating software including HCSS HeavyBid or similar Advanced knowledge of civil engineering principles Advanced knowledge of construction principles and equipment capabilities Advanced knowledge of agency (U)DBE requirements Comprehensive understanding of civil construction industry practices and standards.
Must be able to freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
Project Management experience a plus.
Must be able to work in office (no remote option)
Responsibilities:
Analyze and consolidate estimate data, considering labor costs, material expenses, equipment needs, location factors, and more, to deliver precise and timely estimates of high quality.
Review project blueprints, specifications, and site conditions, documenting observations and gathering input from field operations for inclusion in the final project estimate.
Evaluate alternative solutions and construction techniques to enhance the competitive edge of the bid.
Scrutinize take-off quantities to ensure the accuracy of data used in estimates.
Cross-reference historical cost data as a validation step in the estimation process.
Apply advanced mathematical calculations and analytical methods to ensure the accuracy of logically estimated costs.
Present the estimate and engage in bid reviews with senior management to guarantee accuracy and comprehensiveness.
Maintain active communication with project owners, subcontractors, and both public and private entities to preserve competitiveness.
Share estimate bid information with field operations during pre-construction meetings, ensuring a clear understanding of the project's scope and crucial construction methods.
Foster and sustain business relationships to expand bid opportunities in the regional market.
Lead or participate in Design-build preconstruction services, assuring high-quality, competitive estimates, and well-structured schedules.
Take the lead or actively engage in discussions regarding construction means and methods, serving as a catalyst for creative thinking and innovative ideas that distinguish a successful estimate.
